Tammy Rae Carland - photographer, ‘zine editor, and video artist; co-owned Mr. Lady Records and Videos.

Sleater-Kinney - politically charged indie rock band, currently on hiatus.

Vivienne Dick - (1950- ) Irish experimental and documentary filmmaker. Was active in No Wave film culture in the United States.

Lorraine O'Grady - (1940- ) performance artist and photographer whose work challenges stereotypes and reclaims black female subjectivity. In the 1980s adopted the persona of 'Mlle.
