Gertrude Stein - (1874-1946) influential writer, referred to by some as a catalyst for modern art and literature. Wrote ‘The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas’.

Marlon Riggs - (1957-1994) poet, educator, filmmaker and outspoken gay rights activist.

Billie Jean King - (1943- ) generally considered to be one of the greatest female tennis players and female athletes in history. She is an advocate against sexism in sports and society, best remembered for her 1973 victory against leading male tennis player Bobby Riggs, dubbed “The Battle of the Sexes”.

Ut - 1980s No Wave rock band.
